Quidditch

                                                                       Quidditch: Tactics

I list some moves used today by the best players in the world

Bludger Backbeat:  A beater hits the bludger backwards instead of forwards, very hard to hit accurately.

Dopplebeater Defense: Both beaters hit the bludger at the same time for more power.

Double eight loop: Used by the keeper to block penalties. The keeper flies very fast around all 3 hoops hoping to block the quaffle.

Hawkshead Attacking Formation: The chasers form an arrow formation (>) and fly towards the goal post, very intimidating

Parkin's Pincer: Two chasers fly at the opposing chaser and close in on them while the other flies headlong towards him or her

Plumbton Pass: a careless move when the seeker catches the snitch up their sleeve.

Porskoff Ploy: The chaser holding the quaffle flies upwards drawing the other chasers after them and then drops the quaffle down to another chaser.

Reverse pass: A chasers throws the quaffle over their shoulder to another chaser.

Sloth Grip Roll: hanging upside-down to avoid getting hit by a bludger

Starfish and Stick: Keeper has one hand a foot rapped around handle and hang horizontally to try and stop the Quaffle.

Transylvanian Tackle: A punch is thrown on purpose to miss, as long as contact is not made it is legal.

Woolongon Shimy:  A hi-speed zigzag move done to throw off chasers.

Wronski Feint:  A seeker dives towards the ground, pretending to have seen the snitch below and pulls out of the dive right above the pitch, intended to make the other seeker hit the ground. Used by Viktor Krum in the Quidditch world cup during book 4
